The Cavemen Go to appear at Ideat Village/New Haven on June 24th! The Cavemen Go will be making a return appearance at downtown New Haven's Ideat Village arts & music festival on Thursday, June 24th. The Cavemen previously appeared at the festival in 2006 and also performed at a benefit show for the festival in 2007. In recent years Ideat Village has grown to encompass not only music but a large variety of art, film and sideshow events that highlight the New Haven arts community. This year's performance by the Cavemen Go will be occurring outside at Pitkin Plaza and will also feature sets by A Paper Tugboat, The Weird Beards and DJ You B as well as a variety of sideshow acts. This free event kicks off at 7pm. For more information about Ideat Village, check out this in-depth article in the New Haven Advocate or the festival's official website www.ideatvillage.org. See you there! 14 June 2010

'New Lives' Re-Released by February Records On June 5th, New Haven's own February Records (formerly known as Tweefort Records) officially re-released the Cavemen Go's debut full-length album 'New Lives.' What does this mean? Well, for one, this allows us to better get the album in the hands of those who want to hear it and those who should hear it. We also now have a record label to pay for all of our wild post-show ragers (rrriiigght). Check out the release details on February Records' official site www.februaryrecords.com. 14 June 2010

Last minute NYC show June 6th at The Delancey! We're excited to announce that we will be making our long awaited return to NYC this Sunday, June 6th at The Delancey. Performing on the first night of the venue's 'Summer Sunday Series,' we will be holding court in the Delancey's downstairs along with NYC's Sunsheds. Although we don't go on until 10pm, the night starts around 7pm so make sure you come by a little early and say hi. On the venue's main floor and rooftop, an amalgam of other bands, solo performers and DJs will be appearing as well. Best of all there is NO COVER for any of this! What better way to end your weekend? Check out the shows page for more info. See you there! 4 June 2010

Well regardless, our debut full-length album 'New Lives' will be getting a 'new' lease on life (good one!) this Spring courtesy of Tweefort/February Records. Yup, you heard right! The good folks at TFR have agreed to re-release 'New Lives' so as to distribute its pure pop genius to every corner of the globe, not just our closets. A link to our store is already up on the label's website with a direct purchase link coming soon. What's that? Oh you found your copy? 2 May 2010

New Single/EP To Be Released This Summer! In addition to the re-release of 'New Lives' this Spring, Tweefort/February Records will also be releasing our next record, due out this Summer! We're currently scheduled to record at New Haven's Firehouse 12 with producer/engineer extraordinare Greg DiCrosta this June. The Cavemen Go + Tweefort = A match made in pop heaven We're excited to announce that our next record will be released by everybody's favorite indie-pop label, Tweefort Records! Tweefort recently broke the news in the latest installment of their e-newsletter. The current plan is to have a new single or EP available via Tweefort in late Spring or early Summer. In addition Tweefort will also be helping us with promotion of our debut full-length album New Lives, which we originally self-released last July. Expect more developments on this exciting news soon!

Upcoming/Rescheduled Shows! Sorry for the lack of updates on here, folks. In case you didn't know already, we had a show scheduled at Brooklyn's Glasslands Gallery this past Friday (February 26th). As we do all know though, mother nature had no intention of letting us play said scheduled show, instead dumping a foot of snow on NYC. As a result we're currently in the process of rescheduling this show, hopefully with a similar billing. Right now we're shooting for April, so please keep your fingers crossed! (it's been a long time since we've played a show down NYC way!).

In other slightly related news, we have another show coming up soon! We'll be opening for the fine fellows in Standard Fare (UK) and Conversion Party (New London) at New Haven's Cafe Nine on Saturday, March 13th. This show will be presented by Dan and Aileen from Tweefort Records. Standard Fare and Conversion are both great indie/pop bands worth seeing, especially since this is a FREE show. Check the Shows page for more info!

Alright now! Let's do this again soon!

Thank you!
We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to our recent shows; we had a really great time playing with some truly remarkable bands! We're currently putting together some more shows throughout the Northeast, particularly at places we haven't played at in a while, or at all. We're also still in the middle of the somewhat frustrating process of getting our new album New Lives online via iTunes, E-Music, Amazon mp3, etc. We're hoping everything pulls through in time for the holidays. In the meantime, please stay posted here and via our pages on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. for all the latest updates!

The Cavemen Go will be returning to New Haven for our first show since the New Lives CD Release Party this summer. Will be appearing at Tweefort's Elm City Popfest this Saturday, November 14th at Artspace. Please come out to support Artspace and enjoy our show and the host of other great local and regional bands on the bill. Check out the SHOWS page for more info!
